AMD powered hardware instrumental in data analysis and investigation
United Arab Emirates, 06 August, 2006: Fujitsu Siemens Computers, the leading European IT manufacturer, has been awarded a supply contract by Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operators (ADCO) for the delivery and installation of 30 CELSIUS V830 workstations with 60 SCENICVIEW P20-2 high-end 20 inch monitors.
The CELSIUS V830 workstation, which supports latest Dual-Core AMD Opteron processor Models 275, 270 and 265, offering the market's best overall performance and performance-per-watt, will be used to run ADCO's Petroleum Development geophysical applications and geological & reservoir modelling tools on both Linux and 64bit Windows.

Fujitsu Siemens Computers' CELSIUS V830 workstations benefits from the AMD-8132 chipset component Hyper Transport technology which enables high-performance PCI-X 2.0 connectivity to AMD Opteron processor-based systems providing increased throughput, improved RAS (Reliability, Availability, Serviceability) capabilities, robust data management and investigation.
