Le Meridien Al Aqah Continues To Highlight Destination Marketing at ATM 2007

Fujairah, United Arab Emirates: Having significantly contributed to the burgeoning tourism industry on the East Coast, Le Meridien Al Aqah is exhibiting at the Fujairah stand at Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2007 for the 5th year in a row. During the 4-day exhibition destination marketing remains a key area of focus for the Middle East's leading beach resort.

"The stunning natural beauty of the East Coast, the year-round pleasant weather and easy accessibility from other Emirates has made Fujairah the only truly year-round tourism destination in the region. Over the past few years the East Coast has succeeded in generating growing interest from international and regional visitors, and as the pioneering hotel on the East Coast, Le Meridien Al Aqah remains committed to ensuring continued demand for Destination Fujairah," said Patrick Antaki, general manager, Le Meridien Al Aqah.

Since opening in 2002, Le Meridien Al Aqah has aligned itself closely with the Fujairah Tourism Board (FTB) to promote Fujairah as the "new hot tourism destination". As a result, the tourism industry in Fujairah has grown tremendously, with the number of tourists steadily increasing in the past five years.

"The East Coast is now witnessing the inauguration of new hotels which further attest to the growth of the tourism industry here, highlighting just how far we've come. Destination marketing will always remain a top priority for Le Meridien Al Aqah, evident by our continued participation in ATM and other major international travel and trade exhibitions in conjunction with the Emirate of Fujairah," Antaki added.

Al Aqah's recent destination marketing initiatives included participation in the International Tourism Exchange (ITB) in Berlin and at MITT, the premier travel industry event in Russia. In addition to this, the famed beach resort continuously enhances and improves all of its facilities and amenities to attract more guests, whether they are sporting enthusiasts, spa lovers, or just in search of good food and relaxation.
