Hlanganani, a Tsonga tribal, from one of South Africa's wildest areas is currently at the Dubai International Endurance City participating in the Second Festival of Cultures and Civilizations of World Deserts (16th to 22nd April) organised by the Zayed International Prize for the Environment, World Deserts Foundation and the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).

He brings with him a message of peace, unity and brotherhood along with fellow tribesmen putting on a cultural display at the Endurance City near Bab Al Shams every evening between 5.00 PM and 10.00 PM.

"My very name means unity and brotherhood," he says, "and our message is one of peace and brotherhood."

"Throngs of crowds gather every evening at the venue to watch Hlanganani and his team perform their vigorous dances performed solely to the tune of traditional percussions," said DTCM Manager Events, Marwan Juma bin Beyat.

"The combination of dance, music and colorful clothes infused with the energy of these performances makes for very exciting viewing and are a classic example of the vivacity that exists in traditional dance forms," Mr. bin Beyat remarked.

The lifestyle, cultures and civilizations of people from desert regions is on display at the Dubai International Endurance City where delegates from as many as 37 countries are participating emphasizing the desert cultures to an international audience.
