The volume of investment in this project is estimated at 500 million Saudi riyals.

H.E. the Minister said, "The Kingdom's market is attractive for the establishment of automobile factories due to the economic benefits, incentives, financial facilities, qualified manpower, integrated infrastructure and supporting industries. In addition to that, the Saudi market is one of the strongest markets in the region and in terms of the number of trucks consumed, which made the economic feasibility of the project motivating for the establishment of the factory in the Kingdom. The regional markets will also import trucks from the Kingdom and therefore the Kingdom will be one of the exporting countries of cars and trucks".

On this occasion, Director General of MODON Dr. Alrabiah announced: "ISUZU trucks manufacturing project is a leading project in the region, which is not restricted just to assembly of imported parts, but it will be an integrated factory that will manufacture many parts of the truck in the Kingdom and will transfer the high-tech auto industry, as well as provide international experiences in the production of cars and trucks. It will create investment opportunities for the establishment of factories or new production lines in the existing factories for the production of parts and accessories of cars, which will be announced later, such as: batteries, auto glass, filters, oil and some metal, electrical and plastic parts as well as other parts that are manufactured locally in the existing factories or future factories".

These projects are the first step to starting an integrated national auto industry. It is to be noted that studies indicate that the Kingdom is the biggest Arab country importing motors, where it imports 600,000 cars annually and there are about 8 million cars in the Kingdom.
