Muscat, - H.H. Sayyid Kamil Fahad Mahmood Al-Said, Member of the Board of Directors of the Royal Opera House Muscat, inaugurated FAUCHON's flagship café and gourmet boutique in Oman at the Opera Galleria, Royal Opera House Muscat. Owned by Mr. Michel Ducros, FAUCHON has joined forces with Mr. Ishan Dharamsey of IAD Group of Companies to enter the Omani market and introduce a unique Parisian gastronomy experience.

H.H. FAUCHON Oman's 260 square metre flagship store is a restaurant-café combined with a gourmet retail boutique. With a 200 square metre central kitchen and pastry lab, FAUCHON provides customers with fresh French gourmet specialty products for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant-café also serves FAUCHON's famous pastries including its signature éclairs and macarons, while offering a wide range of gifts and confectionery products including the new "Choc, Made in F" collection, fine groceries and perfumed teas.

The latest store opening in the Middle East marks FAUCHON's strategic expansion plan in key international markets. With a presence in 42 countries worldwide, the FAUCHON brand is now planning further openings in the Middle East where there is great potential for luxury brands, especially in Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Throughout 2012 and 2013, FAUCHON has witnessed its retail sales reach 247 million Euros, 80% of which was made internationally from its 60 branded stores.
