Etisalat Gold sponsor of Al Ain Aerobatic Show 2006

Success of event shows UAE's ability and enthusiasm to host such international events

Abu Dhabi, 2^nd January 2006: Emirates Telecommunications Corporation- Etisalat- has announced its participation as Gold Sponsor in the upcoming Al Ain Aerobatic Show 2006. The show will be held in Al Ain city between 11^th and 15^th January 2006 under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces.

Ali Bin Jarash, General Manager, Etisalat Al Ain Region, said: "We are proud to be associated with this initiative, which attracts some of the world's best show teams and modern, state-of-the-art aircraft. Etisalat has been at the forefront in sponsoring and supporting events held in the UAE in general and a good many of them are in Al Ain city."

The Al Ain Aerobatic Show has grown to be considered among the important events in the world aerobatic show calendar, and has succeeded in attracting teams from 40 countries to showcase the best and most memorable air show talents.

Participants, visitors and audience alike have praised the quality of the event and services, capabilities of the organizers and the national infrastructure for an event of this magnitude. The venue for the Aerobatics Show 2006 has been doubled in space over the venue of last year, ensuring that many more participants and audience can benefit from their presence at this event.

Some other key activities and events sponsored by Etisalat include UAE Civilisation Marathon, FIFA World Cup, Al Ain Flower Show, Training and Recruitment in Al Ain Univ, Civil Defence Day and the Gulf Traffic Week.
