Company to supply structural steel work to Muscat City Center and Sohar Aluminium Smelter Project

Emirates Building Systems LLC (EBS), a subsidiary of Dubai Investments Industries, the industry arm of Dubai Investments, and the manufacturers of high quality steel structures, is strengthening its position in the Sultanate of Oman following the signing of two major contracts for the supply of structural steel work.

While EBS has completed fabrication and supply of structural steel work for Muscat City Center expansion in record time at a cost of AED 13.3 million, it has also finalised a twin- deal - worth AED 9.5 million and AED 5.3 million - with Sohar Aluminium Smelter Project for the supply of its products.

Emirates Building Systems has also announced the appointment of M/S Al Rawaj International Trading & Contracting LLC as the certified builder in Oman, whom will work in close co-ordination with our Distributor M/s Cemec Trading and Services to ensure the timely completion of the projects.

"We see Oman as a high potential market, especially considering the pace of growth witnessed in the country in the recent years. Construction activity is booming at present in Oman, so also is industrial production, and Emirates Building Systems is keen to capitalise on this market situation by supplying our high quality products here," said Fouad Arwadi, General Manager-Sales, Emirates Building Systems.

"Our strategy is to expand to new markets in the region and in line with this we are working towards increasing our production capacity. Currently our production capacity is over 60,000 tons per annum and we are on course to increase this to 75,000 tons within the next few months. EBS has the unique capability to provide a combination of hot-rolled and pre-engineered sections in a single design and package," added Arwadi
