Dubai, 22nd September 2010: The Emirates Medical Association (EMA) will host the joint leadership meeting of the GCC Medical Associations in Dubai UAE on 25th September 2010, with the aim of reviving the initiative of holding the combined GCC states medical Associations congress.
Key strategic topics on the health training, education, career development, health economies and medical insurance are areas that are being stressed upon by the group for the benefit of the doctors, medical professionals and patients across the GCC states.
The highly renowned GCC Medical Associations Congress was previously held four times in different GCC states, including the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. During previous editions, the GCC Medical congress gathered a large number of experts and highly qualified consultants from within and outside the GCC states, who participated in highly enriching debates, lectures and workshops.
Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Ali Shakar - President of the Emirates Medical Association - said; this meeting marks the UAE's commitment to promote scientific research and the development of general plans and strategies for the advancement of the medical workforce throughout the GCC region."
