Village to Exhibit 4x4x6 Metre Plane and Flight Simulator Gaming Stations Ahead of Red Bull Air Race World Championship in Abu Dhabi
Dubai: 26 March, 2009 - The Walk, Dubai's unique beachfront shopping avenue managed and developed by Dubai Retail, a subsidiary of Dubai Properties Group, today announced it is hosting a Red Bull Air Village at the Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) in Dubai, setting the stage for the Red Bull Air Race World Championship in Abu Dhabi this April.
Welcoming visitors to The Walk from 26 - 28 March, the Red Bull Air Village will be located opposite the Bahar sector at JBR over 300 sq metres of space. It will display various Red Bull Air Race exhibits including a 4x4x6 metre plane, a mock up of the Abu Dhabi Air Race track, a photo gallery displaying 30 of the most impressive photos taken from all over the Red Bull air races worldwide, and gaming stations where visitors can play simulated flights on the Abu Dhabi track.
Forty-two screens around the village will be erected to display some of the best moments in past championships. A dedicated chill out area with stool tables and beanbags will serve as an ideal zone for visitors to relax and imbibe the unique ambience.
