Dubai: 22 April, 2010 - Dubai Internet City (DIC), a member of TECOM Investments, today announced that one of RTA's stations on Dubai Metro's Red Line on Sheikh Zayed Road would be named after DIC. The announcement was made in recognition of DIC's significant contribution to Dubai's knowledge economy and its phenomenal success as one of the world's largest technology free zones.
Designed on the 'Water' theme, the Dubai Internet City Station is located between the Sharaf DG and Nakeel Metro Stations. It will have a minimum of 5 retail outlets in addition to more facilities and services that are available in other metro stations. Feeder bus services named (F32A) will operate from the station to the DIC Community and other destinations in the neighborhood including Marina, Dubai Media City and Dubai Knowledge Village.
