All roads lead to Dubai during the prestigious Dubai Fashion 2007. Dubai will be the focus of attention of the fashion world as the high-profile event takes off to a glittering start on January 9, 2007. The event is being held under the patronage of HH Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and is organised by Dubai Shopping Festival and BurJuman, the world's most luxurious shopping mall.
The DSF Office hosted a gala dinner at the Safina Ballroom of Jumeirah Beach Hotel last evening (Saturday ) to announce the launch of the details of the four day fashion event. A testimony to the spiraling growth of Dubai as a modern city, Dubai Fashion pays a fitting tribute to the stature of Dubai as a fashion hub of the region. A treat for all the fashion lovers in Dubai the event is poised to attract world attention. All eyes will turn towards Dubai during the four-day long fashion fiesta, which showcases the latest and the best in the fashion industry.
To be held from January 9 to 12 at the Madinat Jumeirah, Al Jawhara Ballroom, at 8pm every evening, Dubai Fashion 2007 will see the season's hottest trends by five leading French and Italian brands including Christian Lacroix, Emanuel Ungaro, Kenzo, Sonia Rykiel and Valentino, names that belong to the crme de la crme of the fashion industry.
The participation of these big names is a clear recognition of Dubai's role as a perfect platform to showcase the latest international collection for the fashion lovers of the Middle East in addition to the fact that this event is also attracting attention of the local and international media thus giving a wider exposure to everyone involved.

Dubai is regarded as the gateway for the major fashion houses of the world to enter the region and Dubai Fashion Festival, which is being celebrated this time under the theme A World of Festivals confirms the status of the iconic city as the fashion hub even further.

The inaugural day of the event i.e. January 9 will host the latest collection of Italian designer label Valentino, which would be followed by Sonia Rykiel and Kenzo on January 10. Emanuel Ungaro and Christian Lacroix will showcase their collections on January 11 while January 12 will host the grand finale of the four-day event to be held exclusively for ladies will be summing up the events of the preceding three days. The shows will be hosted in Madinat Jumeirah from 8pm every evening.
Creations, the second segment of the Dubai Fashion Festival which involves daily fashion shows by upcoming designers from the region will be held from January 18 until February 1 at BurJuman.

Dubai Fashion 2003: The innovative Dubai Fashion event was launched in the year 2003 with top-notch international designer labels at the week long event at One&Only Royal Mirage and has since seen big names of the international fashion scene feature in the annual extravaganza.
Dubai Fashion 2004 saw four International French fashion houses display their haute couture collections at the Dubai International Convention Center just after their launch in Paris Fashion Week and before they went to New York Fashion Week Dior, Givenchy, Lacroix and Ungaro present their houte couture spring/summer collections in Dubai. The four day fashion extravaganza was followed by a 3 day fine jewellery exhibition by Dior at the One &Only Royal Mirage
Dubai Fashion 2005 was a one month event done on a larger scale with four weeks of different categories of fashion shows and exhibitions. The event featured high-end world-renowned fashion legends like Christian Lacroix, Christian Dior and Jean Paul Gaultier besides hosting the collections of top fashion brands of BurJuman including Saks Fifth Avenue, Donna Karan, Kenneth Cole, Escada, Kenzo, and Alan Manoukian.
The combined edition of DSF 2006-2007 is being held from December 20, 2006 to February 2, 2007. The 45 days of family fun, entertainment and shopping frenzy will offer retrospective glimpses of the 10 previous editions combining the best of the best and promises to be even bigger and better.
