du offers calling rates of 1.5 fils/sec (90 fils/min) around the clock to help connect family and friends in tragedy-stricken Pakistan
In the spirit of helping those less fortunate, du is reaching out to those affected by the recent tragedies in Pakistan by offering significantly reduced international calling rates to the country. As a gesture to help families and friends get connected easily and affordably, this special offer will provide rates of just 1.5 fils/sec (90 fils per minute) on calls made to Pakistan at any time of the day or night from any du landline or mobile phone.
"Our condolences are with those who have been affected by the recent tragedies in Pakistan. By offering significant reductions on calling rates - with a rate of just 1.5 fils/sec (90 fils per minute) on a 24-hour basis we are able to help connect families and friends from the country, which we hope will be of some comfort to those who may have been touched by these recent tragic events," commented, Farid Faraidooni, Chief Commercial Officer, du.
The reduced calling rate will apply to all voice calls to Pakistan from 10 August 2010. This offer provides a significant reduction in calling rates, as the standard peak rate for calls to Pakistan during the day (9am-9pm) is AED 2.4 per minute, while only calls made during off-peak hours (9pm-9am) are usually priced at 1.5 fils per second (90 fils per minute).
Customers do not need to take any action. All calls made to Pakistan during the week will be charged at this special rate.
