Dubai: On the occasion of UAE Flag Day 2020, du, from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), participated in nationwide celebrations by hoisting the UAE flag in honour of the prestigious national event.

In a flag-raising ceremony held at du’s headquarters in Al Salam Tower, Dubai, the UAE flag was lifted in the presence of Fahad Al Hassawi, CEO, du. Representing the Broad of Directors were Ahmad Abdulkarim Julfar and Wesam Alabbas Lootah and a number of frontline employees. The event, which was held in accordance with safety guidelines set by the UAE Government, also paid tribute to the organization’s frontline workers, whose efforts are instrumental in ensuring du meets its commitment to customers and communities across the country. As an expression of gratitude, and a way to pay homage to the UAE leadership’s esteemed visions for the past, present, and future, du’s UAE Flag Day festivities reiterated the organization’s proud commitment to instilling virtues of unity, pride, and loyalty bestowed upon the nation by the UAE’s founding fathers.

As a strong advocate for the future progress of the UAE, du is proud to be empowering the nation’s human talent and future leaders through its commitment toward Emiratization. du is actively acknowledging the country’s core virtues and directives by creating pathways for Emirati talent, and establishing an inclusive and harmonious workplace for all employees.

UAE Flag Day was launched in 2013 by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, to honour the country’s past, present and future, and to highlight the Emirati Flag as a symbol of union and strength. The annual event takes place on November 3 to coincide with the anniversary of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan becoming the president of the UAE in 2004.
