KEY TOURISM INDUSTRY PLAYERS AND OFFICIALS UPDATED
As part of its concerted efforts to better acquaint the emirate's vibrant tourism industry with major projects and infrastructure developments taking shape for a significant impact on Dubai's booming economy, the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing has organized a series of presentations for the key tourism sector players and officials.
The interactive programme started on July 3 and covers presentations by officials from Emaar, Dubai Development and Investment Authority (DDIA), Nakheel and Majid Al Futtaim (MAF) Investments.
The presentations, held at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) auditorium, are in response to the suggestions put forward by the tourism industry players in meetings
The presentations will deal with Dubai Marina, Burj Dubai, Arabian Ranches and Emirates Hills (all from Emaar), Dubai Health Care City and Dubailand (all from DDIA), The World and The Palm (both Nakheel's iconic projects) and Mall of the Emirates project of MAF Investments.
Almost all these projects have been attracting worldwide attention of the media and the investors. The massive developments, involving investments running into millions of dollars, are expected to enhance emirate's appeal among the visitors from across the world.
The presentations are primarily focused on their long-term impact on the economy and how businesses, especially those involved in tourism and hospitality sectors, are going to reap the benefits.
Last month, the department organised presentations of the Dubai Municipality officials on the AED14.3 billion Dubai Light Rail project, Fourth Interchange, Dubai Airport Tunnel and Traffic Management System for Dubai. The presentations also covered major projects including the upcoming Zabeel Park and Coastal Zone Development.
