He, along with the transformation committee will be striving towards the SAFI Mission 2030, under the mentorship and guidance of Dr. P. Mohamed Ali (Galfar), Chairman Emeritus.

Dubai, UAE: The new committee under the Chairmanship of Dr. Azad Moopen, has assumed the stewardship of Social Advancement Foundation of India (SAFI). The other office bearers are Mr. P. K. Ahammed and Dr. P. A. Ibrahim Haji  as Vice Chairmen, Mr. C. P. Kunhi Mohammed as Treasurer, Mr. M. A. Mehaboob as General Secretary and  Dr. Amir Ahmed  as the Joint Secretary. Dr P Mohamed Ali shall be the Chairman Emeritus of SAFI.

The SAFI Mission 2030 Transformation Committee shall be headed by Mr. C.H. Abdul Raheem as the President and, Mr. Ameer Ahamed, Dr. Abdussalam Ahmad, Mr. K.V. Abdul Azeez and Mrs. Khadeeja Z. Mohamed Ali as Vice Presidents.

SAFI was established in 2001 with a vision to ensure educational and leadership empowerment of the community.  The SAFI Institute of Advanced Studies with its excellent infrastructure at the sprawling Vazhayoor campus offers 12 Undergraduate and 6 Postgraduate programs with over 1500 students currently.

The newly appointed office bearers will actively work with the Transformation Committee to achieve the following goals by 2025:

  • Establish an Autonomous Degree Granting College by 2025
  • Set up an Open Distance Learning (ODL) platform
  • Establish a Leadership Academy and HR Institute to provide opportunities for Civil Service Exams, Young Global Leadership programmes etc.
  • Establish Centers of Excellence in areas like Artificial Intelligence, Social Sciences, Journalism etc.

The Executive Committee has chalked out a development program with a budget of INR 25 Crores to be implemented over the next 5 years. The required funds for the initiatives have already been committed by the trustees of SAFI.
