Dubai: A Dubai Municipality delegation comprising employees of the Corporate Excellence Department and Information Technology Department attended a training course in ARIS (Assessment, Review and Instruction System) programme in Germany during 2-6 November.
The delegation headed by Fatima Al Shamsi, Acting Head of Operations included Yahya Izzuddeen, Mohammed Shuaib, Badriya Al Ayoubi, Ayman Al Syed and Walid Ezzat.
The course held at the heaquarters of IDS Sheer in the city of Saarbrücken, titled Updating the New Version of ARIS programme, which is in use in the Municipality since 2006, was aimed at ensuring that the civic body catches up with the latest software related to Operationa Management and Development, said Maryam Al Hammadi, Director of Corporate Excellence Department.
She said that the move was part of the Dubai Government directive for transforming to e-government for providing services and accomplishing the tasks and Dubai Municipality has a pioneering role in the field of e-government.
Hammadi said the Municipality delegation was briefed on the best practices in operations management for setting up a comprehensive electronic mechanism to develop and simplify the operations and services in order to achieve excellence in meeting the requirements and expectations of the people concerned.
The features of the programme included New ARIS Platform Family Products, Windows to Java Platform, ARIS Balanced Scoreboard, ARIS Business Simulator and ARIS Business Optimizer.
She said the Corporate Excellence Department will later hold training courses in order to transfer the skills to the concerned officials in the Municipality.
