DIFX to explain Benefits of its Market to Auditors and Accountants

Dubai, 10 June, 2006

The Dubai International Financial Exchange (DIFX) will give a presentation to finance professionals in Dubai on Monday, June 12^th, to demonstrate its attractions as the only international financial exchange in the region.

Nasser Alshaali, Chief Operating Officer, said: "This event will help internal auditors, chartered accountants, and others understand how their companies can benefit by becoming involved with the DIFX - from raising funds to improving transparency in the market.

"This could be through an initial public offering or a listing of other securities. Financial services companies can also create links to the exchange by becoming a DIFX broker or sub-custodian."

The presentation will include how to list a company, ongoing requirements, the structure of the market, legal and jurisdiction issues, and details of trading, clearing and settlement.

Also speaking at the event will be: Michael Dalby, Head of  Markets Authority; Mitresh Singh, Head of Internal Audit; Muna Farid, Assistant General Counsel; Mike Cowley, Head of Market Operations; and Muffadal Kagalwala, Senior Manager - Central Securities Depositary & Registry.
