Dubai, UAE: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) announced that its Energy Meter Testing Laboratory, which is accredited by the Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC), provides electricity meter testing & current transformer testing services to ensure their efficiency and accuracy prior to their installation. Customers can apply for and track the service on DEWA’s website  ( www.dewa.gov.ae ) and smart app. Testing charges and other details are also available on DEWA’s website.

DEWA’s Energy Meter Testing Laboratory has been accredited by EIAC as per the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005, which specifies the requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories and is adopted by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). DEWA’s lab is the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa to receive this international accreditation, which covers the technical requirements to prove the efficiency of testing and calibration laboratories.
