And walking away with the grand prize, including 15 Million francs ($27,000) was musician Mbonjem Lesly Aponglem, who’s better known as Fhish. This year’s competition was certainly one for the history books and would not have been made possible without the support of major sponsors such as Yellow Card Financial.

As part of their strategic plan to educate Africans across the continent on cryptocurrency, Yellow Card was incredibly instrumental in this season of the competition. The company challenged contestants through various games and challenges as well as provided educational sessions on cryptocurrency.

Tasha Shengwe, Cameroon Marketing Manager at Yellow Card, said she was excited at the uptake and interest of crypto by contestants and viewers alike.

“Throughout the competition I was amazed by the energy and enthusiasm of the contestants. Among the topics we covered included: the basics of cryptocurrency and blockchain, the Importance of owning a digital asset, infrastructure of decentralized finance, non-fungible tokens, minimizing  loss during trading and trading with an exchange such as Yellow Card,” she said.

Biggy Studios Public Relations Officer, Yvette Brudy says that Yellow Card’s contribution as the competition’s biggest sponsor went a long way to support the realization and success of  Biggy Season 2.

“Yellow Card’s sponsorship increased the credibility of Biggy Studios. The Games and challenges were very educational to both the flatmates and the viewers. Some flatmates got to learn about cryptocurrency for the first time. Many received the news of the financial rewards with Yellow Card as a means to defeat poverty, ”said Yvette.

As Africa’s fastest-growing crypto exchange, Yellow Card, will continue to place a lot of effort in organising webinars, physical events (sponsored and owned), sharing daily content on social media, working with Cameroonian influencers and providing educational materials on their platforms, such as the Yellow Card Academy.

In the days ahead, Yellow Card looks forward to partnering with popular crypto enthusiasts or companies to better educate the population about Crypto.
