United Arab Emirates, Dubai- 17 March 2008: Cleopatra Beauty Institute (CBI), the Middle East's first internationally endorsed beauty and holistic training institute, received accreditation from ITEC, the prestigious UK beauty award body. This gives CBI the unique distinction of being the first beauty training institute in the UAE to have won international accreditation from all three of the beauty world's topmost examination bodies - ITEC, CIBTAC and CIDESCO.

Adding the ITEC accreditation to its name has reinforced the fact that CBI is well and truly the premier beauty institute in the region, with all three of the most sought-after international award bodies giving it their seal of approval. It means that candidates training at the centre will now be permitted automatic entry into ITEC, CIBTAC and CIDESCO examinations, thus ensuring that they hold only the best diploma's available in the business before they step out to make their mark in the international marketplace. "We have set the standards for education in this field ever since we opened our doors in 1999, and the ITEC recognition is a testament to the progress we have made and the high quality standards we have maintained" said Ms. Daniella Russell, Director of Pyramids Health & Leisure, CBI's parent company. "Many of our students have gone on to make a mark in the industry across the world, and adding an ITEC accreditation to their degree will further reinforce their international appeal" she added.

ITEC, established in 1973, is based in the UK and is one of the most respected names in the beauty industry.  It is accredited in the UK by the Qualifications & Curriculum Authority (QCA) on behalf of the Department for Education and Skills to award professional Vocational Qualifications. It offers over 20 leading international qualifications in therapy including aromatherapy, nail technology, make-up, beauty specialist and Spa Treatments, to name a few. Ms. Diane Khoshkhoo, the principal of CBI, can personally vouch for the ITEC advantage. "I studied ITEC when in training, along with CIBTAC and CIDESCO, and have also taught the ITEC syllabus for many years" she says. "As an international examiner, I have traveled the world to many different schools, some with ITEC accreditation, and have seen the difference they can make to a student's education. Now, as a principal at UAE's most prestigious beauty school, I am proud to have an ITEC recognition." she added.

The CBI will hold its first ITEC examinations in July 2008 and prospective candidates are invited to apply for an interview now.  Course enrolment will take place April 8 - 15 April 2008, with courses commencing on the 19th of April 2008.
