Meeting Energy Management Targets through Training
Wednesday, 15th February, 2012: The British University in Dubai and the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) together, bring the Certified Energy Manager (CEM) training to the UAE for the first time.
CEM is an International Training Programme owned by Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) based out of USA. AEE is a network of professional association from Energy Sector with 15,000 members from 84 countries and has 72 local chapters all over USA and abroad. The CEM training course is designed to help professionals working in the energy sector and energy management organisations to gain knowledge on energy topics such as energy codes and standards, indoor air quality, energy accounting, energy economics, energy audits, energy instrumentation and energy management.
The training course will be held from 29th April to 2nd May 2012 at The British University in Dubai campus, Block 11 at the Dubai International Academic City. The AEE believes CEM credentials will help individuals progress their careers in the energy sector or with Energy Management organizations as the qualification is well recognized and valued by potential employers. This certification demonstrates that the individual has an in-depth knowledge of the laws, standards, common practices and concerns associated with Energy Management".

The entry requirements for the AEE's CEM training are that all CEM candidates must attend one of AEE's preparatory CEM training seminars, and complete and pass a four-hour written open-book exam, proctored.CEM credentials are recognized by the U.S. Department of Energy, the Office of Federal Energy Management Programs (FEMP), and the U.S. Agency for International Development, as well as by numerous state energy offices, major utilities, corporations and energy service companies.
