Dazzling new collection from Damas wows the crowd

A glittering array of jewellery was seen on the catwalk today, 15th December, as visitors were enchanted by the stunning new collections from Damas. This dazzling catwalk was among the main highlights of this year's edition of the Watch & Jewellery Dubai exhibition.

"We are delighted to have introduced 'Catwalk of Jewels' as one of the main attractions to the 2006 edition of Watch &Jewellery Dubai. As one of the leaders in jewellery retail and design, the exciting collections from Damas this evening represented the region's innovation and creativity in jewellery design. As the jewellery hub of the region we are pleased to provide a platform to showcase Dubai's creativity," said Mr Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director General, Dubai World Trade Centre, organiser of Watch & Jewellery Dubai.

Damas showcased five brands during the fashion including Al Manthourah, Legacy, Farasha and Romance.

The show was opened with the Legacy collection featuring a fusion of classic yet trendy designs consisting mainly of 22K gold set with uncut diamonds.

Al Mantourha collection followed with its 21K brand exclusively made in a three-colour finish of black, white and old rhodium. Featured in various combinations, the jewelleries from this collection are exquisitely adorned with genuine gemstones in different colours which are fixed in unique designs.

Jewelleries from the Farasha collection added colour to the event as it showcased lovely pieces studded with genuine coloured gemstones from Signity and fine cut diamonds. Set in 18kt white gold, each piece takes you on flights of imagination.

The evening was perfectly capped with an amazing finale--the Romance collection with its stunning eye shaped marquise diamonds and white gold combination.

Visitors will be wowed again tomorrow, 16th December at 6pm, as Damas takes to the stage once again to showcase its beautiful Bridal Collection, exclusively designed by Damas. The catwalk will also present the Varotti jewelled watches collection.

Essentially feminine, Varotti watches added a bit of sparkle to the evening with a beautiful pastel shade to suit each personality. Available only in 18k white or yellow gold, these watches are embellished with diamonds as well as precious stones of various colours.

This show stopping catwalk is one definitely not to be missed!

WJD is sponsored by Mercede and supported by Dubai Diamond Exchange, Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group, Diamond Trading Company, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre and World Gold Council.
