Career Expo is a non-profit annual event that is being organized for the 8th time after a brief hiatus in 2006-7, under the auspices of the National Society for Support of Education & Training (NSSET).
The three-day event targets Bahraini secondary school students, vocational students, jobseekers, parents and the community at large, in an effort to enhance Bahraini students and jobseekers understanding of the professional world, and to guide them in choosing, or changing, their careers; thereby enriching job prospects and the quality of the Bahraini workforce.
The previous expo attracted different organisations and it is anticipated that more than 120 organizations will participate and approx. 20,000 visitors will visit Career Expo 2008, including corporate companies, universities, colleges, and other educational institutions; representing a variety of sectors such as: Science and Engineering; Banking and Finance; Catering and Hospitality; and Petroleum and Gas. International Exhibitors also took part in the Expo, coming from Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia. More than 15,000 visited the last expo.
