Dubai - Cantiere Del Pardo, manufacturers of Grand Soleil yachts, today announced appointing Art Marine as their exclusive dealer in the Middle East.
The Dubai-based marine company owned by Abraaj Real Estate Fund and managed by Captain's Alessio and Riccardo Tumbiolo of Art Marine has been granted exclusive rights for Grand Soleil yachts in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
Mark Feilberg, Director of Art Marine Sailing Division, said that the new 45 and 37 models of the Grand Soleil yachts will be arriving in Dubai in the coming months. The yachts are suited to racing and cruising and have a level of luxury not yet seen in sailing yachts here in the Gulf, he added.
"Just one week after her launch in France earlier this year, the new Grand Soleil 37' B&C won the most important French regatta in her class, IRC 2. She has been continuously improving her results during the SPI Ouest Regatta at La Trinite / Mer in France finishing the four races at the 3rd, 2nd and two first places. The first of the new 37s will arrive in Dubai in December to participate in Maktoum Sailing Trophy," Feilberg said.
For over thirty years, Cantiere Del Pardo has produced the Grand Soleil range of sailing yachts from 34' to 70'. Today, more than 2200 Grand Soleil are sailing and racing the world's oceans. Close collaboration with some of the world's best designers, such as German Frers, Doug Peterson, Bruce Farr, Judel & Vrolijk and Botin & Carkeek has allowed Cantiere Del Pardo to create the unique Grand Soleil range.
Speaking about Grand Soleil 45', Feilberg said that these are due to arrive in Dubai in October. He said that the Grand Soleil 45' has proven its potential winning the most important regatta in France, "Spi Ouest France". It claimed four firsts and one second place at La Trinite / Mer in France this year, apart from winning the North Sea Championship (IMS) and "Cowes-Dinard".
"Grand Soleil 45' represents performance, livability, seaworthiness and comfort. The hull lines, a product of Rolf Vrolijk, designer of "Alinghi" the victor of the last America's Cup, are of the latest IRC generation," he added.
Art Marine is also exclusive dealer for Azimut Yachts, Atlantis Motor Yachts, Monte Carlo Marine, Stompcraft and T-Boats
