Dubai, UAE, 9 July 2009: - Canon Middle East, world leader in digital imaging technology, has today announced the launch of its newest compact copier, the Canon iR 2318L for organisations that require a standalone copying device. The Canon iR 2318L is designed for departments or small organisations that have a specific need for a classic, non-networked standalone copier.
Canon has introduced the iR 2318L device as a successor to the popular iR 2016J standalone black and white copier, giving users the same high-quality copying with the added ability to connect with a PC for use as a local printer. With faster copying speeds and added print functionality, this device will enable business users to print and copy documents with greater ease and efficiency.
Audai Altaie, Senior Product Manager, Canon Middle East says, "Times are tough and businesses are looking at ways to streamline costs and increase productivity to remain competitive. With its additional print functionality, faster speeds and improved usability, we are confident that the Canon iR 2318L will offer businesses a valuable new dimension to their office imaging."
The Canon iR 2318L has a new user interface for ease-of-use and simple operation. The A3 device provides high-quality output (up to 1200dpi) and can print up to 18 pages per minute (ppm).
Additional features include double-siding and stapling capabilities, improved flexible paper supply up to A3 and an energy saving mode. The Canon iR 2318L is an environmentally responsible device, compliant with Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directives and the new 2009 Energy Star laws that will be introduced in July 2009.
The Canon iR 2318L is currently available across the MENA region.
