Calligraphy exhibition to be inaugurated as part of QAQ's Emirati Dimensions
Sharjah: The Arabic Calligraphy exhibition, organised as part of Qanat Al Qasba's ongoing "Emirati Dimensions", will begin at Marya Al Qasba tomorrow (Saturday) at 7.30pm. Held under the patronage of Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, chairperson for the Supreme Council of Family Affairs and wife of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the exhibition will be attended by VIPS, artists and art lovers.
Calligraphy has been an integral part of the Arabs through the centuries and some interesting works will be displayed at the Calligraphy exhibition, which is open daily from 10 a.m to 10 p.m. The captivating creations by some of the best talent in the country including Mohammed Mandi, Majida SalIm Al Mazim, Fatima Saeed, Ali Ibrahim, Ali Mohammed Murad, and Mohammed Yahya, is bound to rivet visitors.
Emirati Dimensions, an exhibition featuring the works of professional and semi professional artists from different media brings together some of the best works from different genres. Featuring well known names as well emerging talent exclusively among the UAE nationals, the event is designed to create a platform for artists from different generations to exhibit their work as well as give young and mature artists an opportunity to network with each other.
Emirati Dimensions kicked off with the "Painting and Mixed Media" on March 10. Over 35 UAE national artists will display their work at the exhibition, which will also display some unforgettable pictures at the upcoming "Photography" on April 7, continuing until April 18. The exhibition will close with the "Digital Art" presentation from April 21 to May 2.
