Bupa Arabia's agreement underlines its commitment to develop Saudi human capital in line with its expansion

Jeddah: Bupa Arabia, the leading health care insurance company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has signed a joint partnership with the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) valued at more than SR 2.6 million. The goal of the partnership is to recruit and train 94 male and female employees for various types of work within the company.

The deal was signed by Mr. Abdul Rahman Al Zahrani, Acting Manager of the Human Resources Development Fund in Makkah, and Mr. Ali Mansoor bin Madi, Administration and Personnel Manager HR at Bupa Arabia.

Speaking at the signing ceremony Mr. Al Zahrani said: "Our partnership with Bupa Arabia is very strong as the company is one of the pioneers in recruiting and training Saudi employees and has excellent training resources and the capabilities to offer rewarding career opportunities. It is a pleasure to cooperate with them and we look forward to raising the level of future agreements between Bupa and HRDF."

He went on to say: "The Human Resources Development Fund is an important  link between job seekers and the private sector, playing a proactive role in recruiting and training Saudi male and female employees in order to integrate them in the national workforce and enabling them to be a part of the Kingdom's  social and economic development."

The quality of training provided by Bupa Arabia for new employees ensures that the company's high standards are maintained at world-class level. On completion of training the employees are fully qualified to take up positions in a variety of departments at Bupa Arabia.

Representing Bupa Arabia, Mr. Ali Mansoor said: "Our cooperation with HRDF is a key part of our commitment to employ and train young male and female Saudis, especially those who have the passion to work in the health care sector." He went on to point out that Bupa Arabia is one of the pioneers in employing females, having recruited their first all female team in 2001. Today, females represent one third of Bupa Arabia's workforce, which has now reached a Saudization level of 42 percent of the total number of employees.

To maximize recruitment opportunities Bupa Arabia is a regular participant in job fairs.  Most recently Bupa Arabia participated at the 5th Career Fair at the CBA campus for girls, the CBA Career Day for males, and the 2nd Saudi Labour Market Exhibition held at the Jeddah International Exhibition Centre.
