Following Bin Shabib's efforts to continue to market Dubai as a business hub for the region with JAFZA, they co-hosted with Dumon & Partners a morning seminar for the delegation of French businesses, invited by the French Arab Chamber of Commerce in Paris and the Executive Director of the French Business Counsel in Dubai.
Around the theme of 'Doing Business in Dubai' - a seminar Bin Shabib & JAFZA previously held in Paris in 2013, the morning session explored business opportunities in the UAE with a plan to synergize the relationship between the two countries, followed by a tour of the DIFC to introduce the financial centre to the French delegation, and lunch at JAFZA offices - where visitors met with Abdul Aziz Ess Redha, Assistant Manager for Asia Pacific Region, Tariq Saqer Bin Ghalaita, VP-Investor Services of Commercial Services and Shaima Nasser Al Awadhi, Manager for PR and VIP Affairs.
The history of JAFZA and the structure of their future plans were amongst the topics explored, in particularly the development of the new Al Maktoum International Airport to JAFZA port, which will open a unique logistical corridor to service the GCC and neighbouring countries.
A number of French companies present at the meetings included Nutri 5, Ab-Jade, Architecture firm Jean Ferrando, CIAC International Technologies, Deremaux Sarl, Dognim and JPS Sarl.
