DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, 9 March 2008 - HP has today announced the launch of the HP LaserJet P1505 Printer to increase the productivity of SOHO and SMBs with an affordable price, higher efficiency and greater ease-of-use, helping them accomplish their work more quickly.

"Black and white document printing remains indispensable to most of the offices. Thus, the need of a LaserJet printer at a reasonable price, fast printing speed and high printing quality is still high to many companies, especially SOHO and SMBs. To cater for this need, HP specially launched the new HP LaserJet P1505 to enhance these users' work efficiency and productivity, so that they can have greater flexibility and save more cost," said Asad Syed, SMB Business Manager, Imaging and Printing Group, HP Middle East.

The HP LaserJet P1505 Printer is one of the first laser printers in its class to exceed 20ppm. In fact, the HP LaserJet P1505 delivers an industry-leading print speed of 24ppm and a first-page-out time of only 6.5 seconds with HP Instant On technology. And for the first time in a low-end laser device, SMBs will enjoy manageability features usually found in high-end LaserJet devices. This network-enabled printer features intelligence built into the toner cartridge that provides alerts when toner is low and can issue daily printer usage data. The new patented spherical toner it uses produces bold, crisp text and sharper images at fast speeds.

Features highlights:

  • Fast printing speed - with HP's exclusive Instant-on technology, first page prints in less than 6.5 seconds; printing speed at 24 ppm

  • User-friendly feature - simple LED control panel; its "cancel" button allows users to quickly and easily stop print jobs at the printer

  • Flexible media handling - up to 8,000-page monthly duty cycle, the 150-sheet input tray and 10-sheet priority feed slot, together with standard duplex printing, can minimize the paper exchanging times

  • Intelligence in the cartridge - it ensures users never run out of toner - automatic alerts are sent out when toner level is low so users know exactly when it's time to purchase new printing supplies
