Muscat - In a milestone recognition of the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme reaching its mid-year mark, Bank Sohar conducted its highly anticipated Half-Yearly Draw which was conducted during holy month of Ramadhan at Muscat Grand Mall, with the bank subsequently presenting prize cheques totalling more than a quarter of a million Rials to winning customers at their respective branches in the sultanate.
At the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme Half-Yearly Draw, Mr. Asad Abdullah Al Geleibi and Mr. Salim Mohammed Al Zarei from the Bank's Suwaiq and Jalan Bani Bu Ali Branch respectively were announced as the two winners of OMR 100,000 each. The lucky winner of the Exclusive Draw worth OMR 50,000, specifically made for customers who maintain a minimum monthly average balance of OMR 10,000, was a customer from the Bank's Al Amerat Branch, while a lucky minor from the Bank's Nizwa Branch received OMR 5,000 as part of the children's draw.
The chequeswere handed over to the lucky winners at a special ceremony. The RO 100K winner of Jalan branch was handed the cheque by Mr. Khamis Masoud Al Rahbi, AGM - Branches; while RO 100K winner of Suwaiq branch and RO 50K winner of Amerat branch were awarded their winnings by Mr. Salim Khamis Al Maskeri, Senior AGM - Branches. The above events were conducted in the branches and saw attendance from branch managers, staff members and customers.

This draw marked the mid-way point for this year's Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme. For the remainder of the year, Bank Sohar will be continuing with its five hourly prizes of OMR 1,000 every day from Sunday to Wednesday, together with weekly prize draws of OMR 5,000 and monthly draws with a prize pool of OMR 50,000. As the year draws to a close, customers will be eagerly awaiting the Year-End Grand Prize Draw which boasts a prize pool of over half a Million Rials, with one lucky saver winning OMR 500,000, one exclusive winner receiving OMR 50,000 and one lucky minor receiving OMR 5,000.
In addition to the Al Mumayaz Savings Scheme and its various other products and services, the Bank also has an extensive network of ATM's totalling 50 machines across the Sultanate.
