Amman, Jordan: Stemming from its commitment to social responsibility and environmental sustainability, Ramada Resort by Wyndham Dead Sea recently organized a beach clean-up in the surrounding area of the resort at the lowest point on earth.
Led by the hotel’s General Manager, Mr. Beat Peter, 25 hotel employees made their way to the beach to remove trash and rubbish from the area, which was detracting from the natural beauty of the Dead Sea beaches.
The participating employees, who worked hard to keep the area sanitary and beautiful for the community, expressed their gratitude and pleasure in taking part in this day, which not only gives back to the environment, and help keep the beaches clean for the coming winter season, but also solidifies team bonding and unity.
“Sustainability and community responsible initiatives are a top priority for us at Ramada Resort by Wyndham Dead Sea,” commented General Manager Beat Peter. “The results of this day go beyond a cleaner beach – it also includes raising awareness towards important issues affecting our environment today. We are proud of our employees for taking part in the beach clean-up, which also instills in them a sense of community ownership and belonging, and creates stronger bonds within the workplace.”
It is worth noting that the hotel takes part in and organizes a number of sustainable activities throughout the year, and will continue to do so in the future, as part of the hotel’s overall sustainability strategy.
The Ramada Resort by Wyndham Dead Sea is the closest hotel to the Baptism Site, which allows visitors the chance to explore the religious and touristic sites surrounding the area, amidst a relaxing atmosphere. The resort is located on the northern shore of the Dead Sea, and offers guests 161 rooms and facilities that cater to every preference. In addition, the Ramada Resort by Wyndham Dead Sea offers a state of the art gym and spa, a private beach, a Jacuzzi and mud bath, as well as meeting rooms and conference facilities that are suitable for intimate and large-scale events.
