New tool troubleshoots Wi-Fi problems, analyzes the radio spectrum, identifies and classifies sources of interference

Dubai, UAE, August 8, 2007 - Increasingly, wireless networks deployed around the Middle East region have to deal with the related challenges of congestion, contention, and interference - what Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: ARUN) has identified as 'dirty air.'  Aruba, a global leader in secure mobility solutions, is bringing to the region the Aruba Enterprise Analyzer, a new tool that works in conjunction with Aruba's Adaptive Radio Management (ARM) and wireless access points to troubleshoot Wi-Fi network problems and detect, identify and classify unauthorized devices, sources of radio interference, and radio jammers.  The new Enterprise Analyzer will be just one of the wireless solutions that Aruba will showcase at the forthcoming GITEX 2007 event.

The Enterprise Analyzer is a single tool that can help network administrators troubleshoot Wi-Fi specific network problems using advanced packet capture and traffic analysis. The tool is designed to identify sources of interference anywhere within the Wi-Fi bands, all from a single console.

The industry analyst community has welcomed Aruba's efforts to tackle the 'dirty air' issue. In new installations the Enterprise Analyzer can help plan around sources of interference, while in existing networks the tool can help ensure that the Wi-Fi spectrum is available for its intended purpose. Uniquely, the Enterprise Analyzer can use existing Aruba access points to capture packets, report over-the-air voice quality-of-service (QoS), and detect congested channels. Spectrum analysis is provided via specialized sensors. The tool was developed in partnership with AirMagnet, a leader in wireless network assurance solutions, and is available now.
