Award Recognizes Radio Network's Outstanding Performance, Innovations and Business Excellence

Dubai: 7 April, 2010 - Arabian Radio Network (ARN), the largest radio broadcasting group in the UAE and a member of Arab Media Group, today received the Dubai Quality Appreciation Certificate under the Media category, part of the 13th cycle of the Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED) - led Dubai Quality Award 2009.

Based on the Excellence Model of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), the Dubai Quality Award recognizes organizations that gain the status of role models in business performance.

Mohamed AlMulla, Chief Executive Officer, Arab Media Group, Mahmoud Al Rasheed, General Manager of Arabian Radio Network, and Steve Smith, ARN's Chief Operating Officer, were present at the gala ceremony at Grand Hyatt that was attended by over 1,000 high-ranking government and private sector officials.

Mohamed AlMulla, said: "The Dubai Quality Appreciation Certificate awarded to Arab Media Group and Arabian Radio Network reflects the recognition that places ARN on par with international radio broadcasting providers. The honour also demonstrates our commitment to delivering world-class radio services with the top industry talent."

Mahmoud Al Rasheed said: "Achieving best practices always remains at the forefront of our strategy, both internally and with our customers and stakeholders. The recognition from the DQA indicates the outcome of our collective effort and represents a major accomplishment for everyone at ARN."

This award is the result of ARN's team efforts to provide world class services in the UAE, and we believe it will act as a great motivating factor for us to continuously enhance the broadcasting industry benchmarks."

Established in 1994 by the Department of Economic Development in Dubai, the Dubai Quality Award is a framework for companies to measure their performance and achieve higher growth through leadership, innovation and continuous improvement.
