An exclusive Gala Dinner and Networking Event is an ongoing endeavor by the Arab Business Club for their members and distinguished guests. The inaugural event of this Gala Dinner series was held at the Al Bader Ballroom of the Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai last Wednesday.
Mr. Hamdan Mohamed, President and Chairman of the Board of the Arab Business Club, opened the evening with a speech to welcome all the attendees. During which he said "The Arab Business Club offers investment opportunities for foreign business professionals in the Arab World. To enhance this chance, and we further help create an opportunity for leaders from the Arab world to meet, discuss and engage in Business." he also spoke about the many other exciting projects and events that will be spearheaded by the Arab Business Club in the immediate future.
Many Business Heads from all across the globe actively participated in the Networking. Some delegates led by Her Highness Shiekha Dr. Hind Abdul Aziz Al Qasimi came from the Emirates Business Women Council. Dr. Khater Massad, CEO of the Ras Al Khaima Investment Authority (RAKIA) then discussed how Free Zones in the Arab world support the investment and economy in the region. Mr. Karim Smaira, Vice President-Intercontinental of Merck Serono spoke about the different opportunities the multinational companies in the GCC have, under the view of Government related businesses. Mr. Ahmed Al Arbeed, CEO of Dana Gas, shared views on the approach of GCC companies looking to expand internationally. Mr. Walid Chaar, CEO of SGS LLC, gave his points of view pertaining to international companies that operate in the GCC.
The event was well attended by business professionals from diverse industries. Present during the event were top management, members of the Media and Press, Business Council members and distinguished members of various Embassies.
