Cairo-Egypt: 1 October, 2013 - Amadeus, a leading technology partner for the global travel industry, has announced the appointment of Khaled Gad Elmawla as General Manager in Egypt.

Elmawla holds over 25 years of experience in the industry, gained with Amadeus' strategic partner EgyptAir. In his role, Elmawla will spearhead the overall growth of Amadeus Egypt at a time when the Egyptian travel industry is bracing itself for a new growth phase.

With an impressive career chart behind him at EgyptAir, Elmawla is a highly regarded expert in the travel industry. He has held several management positions nationally and internationally at EgyptAir, and was responsible for re-engineering its business process and modernising its systems using Amadeus' technology.  Prior to joining Amadeus, Elmawla headed the EgyptAir sales team.
