Abu Dhabi, UAE - The Arab Bank for Investment and Foreign Trade (Al Masraf) has announced that the bank has 30 job vacancies for Emiratis, a top official from the bank said during the first day of the National Career Exhibition (NCE).
The fair is organised in Expo Centre Sharjah from 10th to 12th of February 2016, under the patronage of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.
Al Masraf has set a target of 100 per cent Emiratisation in its branches by end of 2016. Currently Al Masraf's branches are composed of 62 per cent UAE nationals.
Faisal Galadari, CEO of Al Masraf, stated that the bank's participation in NCE 2016 comes in line with the bank's strategy to provide young Emiratis with training and career opportunities.
"Developing Emirati talents is at the core of our strategy to build leaders who are capable of handling all bank operations in order to promote the UAE's banking sector. We are continuously attracting and retaining national talents, and providing them with the adequate training to enhance their performance," Galadari added.
He affirmed the bank keenness to participate in the national career exhibitions to support the Emiratisation programme within the UAE Vision 2021, and the nationalisation strategy in the banking and insurance sectors as approved by the cabinet recently.
Suaad Al Shimmari, Chief of Human Resources and Emiratisation at Al Masraf, said that many young Emiratis have expressed interest to start their career in the bank.
She noted that the bank has received many job applications during the exhibition and that successful candidates will be contacted later to proceed with recruitment procedures.
"Al Masraf is speeding up the implementation of its recruitment strategy by signing agreements with Abu Dhabi Tawteen Council and many key universities in the UAE," Al Shimmari said.
"We believe in the importance of enhancing the skills of our national cadres as well as providing them with career advancement and opportunity to fill leadership and executive positions," she added.
Al Shimmari said that Al Masraf plans to raise Emiratisation across all departments by 30 per cent by the end of 2016 from the current 26 per cent levels.
