Arabian Hospitality Served by Saudis through "Duroob" Programme

Al Marwa Rayhaan by Rotana-Makkah, one of the key Rotana properties, the leading hotel management company in the Middle East and Africa, announced the recruitment of 25 young graduates from the Technical College in Makkah, an affiliate of the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training, through the "Duroob" programme which aims to increase the rate of Saudization at the hotel.

Al Marwa Rayhaan by Rotana, which overlooks the Grand Mosque in Makkah and has direct access to King Abdulaziz Gate, is one of the first hotels operated by Rotana hotels in the Kingdom. The management strives to contribute to the empowerment of Saudi citizens and give them a chance to fulfill their role in the development of the national economy in general and hospitality sector in particular, through Rotana hotel's commitment to training and ongoing development within a working environment that stimulates creativity, innovation and excellence.

Mostafa Tantawi, General Manager of Al Marwa Rayhaan by Rotana, said: "The new Saudi competencies we have employed are currently occupying various positions at the hotel including human resources, accounting, reception, kitchen, restaurant, engineering and electrical. The graduates will use their knowledge to provide the highest standards of service and to contribute to the development and upgrading of the services offered by Al Marwa Rayhaan by Rotana."

In addition to being a fast track development programme that will be a drive the local talent to grow faster within the hospitality industry, the "Duroob" programme addresses unemployment among citizens by bridging the gap between local and foreign workers in the labor market. This programme is instrumental in helping young national secure jobs by providing them with the necessary training and work experience to understand the working environment and be motivated to pursue a career within this industry.
