Citations spur creativity to express profound love for

ABU DHABI - Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Al Mahabba Awards announced today the second edition of the awards festival, which mark a three-day ceremony scheduled to be organised from April 17th to 19th in Abu Dhabi.
The event is meant to encourage, promote and honour creative and artistic works on the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) such as songs, movies, television programs, documentary films, books, photography and painting.
Al Mahabba Awards were organized by a group of young men and women from the Arab and Muslim world under the supervision of a select group of scientists, clerics and artists, and the support of several UAE and Saudi Arabian companies. The founders of Al Mahabba Awards have lately announced a milestone achievement of selecting the Board of Trustees who are the high profile dignitaries and public figures.
Members of the Board of Trustees include: His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs, who will serve as Chairman of the awards in the UAE, Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayah, Shiekh Al Bouti , Dr. Abdal-Hakim Murad, Al Habib Ali Jafri, Dr. Mohammed Abdo Yamani, Professor Abla Kahlawi, Noha Azzam, Dr. Amal Kubasi, Sheikh Hamdan Al Mazroui, Dr. Walid Fitaihi and Yousf Ali.
The judging committee of the Al Mahabba Festival Awards is chaired by Professor Abdal-Hakim Murad (Timothy Winter) professor of Sheikh' Zayed chair at the University of Cambridge in Britain, where he, in his capacity as head of the Committee, will select a group of experts for award categories to select winners in each category.
Abu Dhabi TV will support by broadcasting the activities of the festival and launching a publicity and advertising campaign to generate greater awareness.
In its first edition last year, Al Mahabba Festival Awards recognized the efforts of the Foreign Minister of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan who was selected as the "Personality of Year" award. Sheikh Mohammed Saeed Ramadan Al Bouti and the late Mustafa Al Aqqad, were on the top of the list of the awardees.
With the passion and commitment of the organizing committee, the unwavering support and influence of leading celebrities, as well as the patronage of the Board of Trustees, Al Mahabba Awards hopes to inspire Muslims all over the world, especially the young people, to celebrate their love for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and be inspired to live by his teachings in their daily lives.
