Pimp My Ride stars WCC open their first ever production center outside of the US here in Dubai

Dubai, April 23rd 2007 - Al Ghussein Automotive Investments FZ, a subsidiary of Al Ghussein Global Investments, a UAE based investment firm, today announced that it has signed a 20-year Middle East and North Africa exclusive master franchise agreement with West Coast Customs, also known as the Kings of Customs in the US. The new Dubai production center, currently under development, will be the first ever fully operational production center for West Coast Customs outside California, United States. The center is scheduled to be operational by summer of this year.

"The population in the Middle East and particularly in the UAE is increasing at a phenomenal pace," commented Al Ghussein Global Investments CEO Mohammed Al Ghussein. "More and more people are choosing to live out here and the relatively lower priced cars and petrol means that more and more people are buying into the car market. The customization industry that exists in the region at the moment is embryonic and is generally limited to fitting mass-produced body kits to cars which results in all 'customized' cars looking the same. We felt that the region was ready for a company as creatively unique and successful as West Coast Customs to give clients the opportunity to fully customize their cars, yachts, private jets and even homes," Al Ghussein further added.

The team of customization experts shot to fame after the massive global success of MTV's hit show "Pimp My Ride" in which the WCC team surprises an unsuspecting member of the public and drastically fixes up and customizes their cars. Although Pimp My Ride only shows work being done on defunct cars, WCC's major business comes from customizing cars for the stars with a portfolio including Shaquille O'Neal, Pamela Anderson, Mariah Carey and Kobe Bryant to name just a few.

"The after market industry in the US is a 30 Billion dollar industry and WCC is the biggest name in that market. So it is a great pleasure to have them here" commented West Coast Customs Middle East Managing Partner Rami El Malak.

"With the luxury lifestyle and love of custom designed products that our clients have in the UAE and GCC, the potential for WCC to quickly become market leaders in this field is huge," El Malak concluded.

West Coast Customs will be touching down in Dubai in the summer and customization services are set to begin at the end of June. Keep your eye on www.wcc-me.com for further announcements and watch this space!
