Cairo 29 January 2007 - To celebrate the charitable nature of Sanabel Al Kheir, a pioneer financial product offered by Ahli United Bank (Egypt), the bank sponsored an all day event at the Children's Cancer Hospital Foundation 57357. Sanabel Al Kheir is a certificate of deposit (CD) which offers clients the option to donate the interest generated from the deposit to the Children's Cancer Hospital.

The event took place at the hospital where attendees enjoyed a variety of live entertainment endorsing a dynamic and generous environment. The attendees were pleased to be a part of this generous event and the children of the hospital were ecstatic especially with the entertainment shows like the famous singer Haitham Saeed, and a magician. The event also witnessed a strong media presence.

The event offered employees of the bank along with clients of the bank, and members of the media a chance to participate in charitable campaign launched by Ahli United Bank (Egypt) to contribute for the wellbeing of the society. The management representatives from the bank were keen to share this celebration with the staff believing in administering good relations among employees while inducing the spirit of giving.

This certificate program highlights the importance that Ahli United Bank (Egypt) places on investing in corporate social responsibility and community involvement, and shows how in touch the bank is with its clients needs.

The CD itself offers a high interest rate, which is currently 9% with the option to donate the interest to the hospital on quarterly basis. With a minimum deposit value of LE 500 and a minimum deposit time of three years the client can donate and retain the value of the certificate after the three year period.
