Abu Dhabi, 19 February, 2012: Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank "ADCB" Islamic Banking has recently donated AED 30,000 on behalf of Emirati Millionaire Saving Account (EMSA) customers to Zakat Fund. This donation comes as more than 1,200 customers have already opened their EMSA accounts since its launch 2 months ago.
The EMSA encourages UAE Nationals to save regularly while rewarding them with monthly cash prizes. ADCB's monthly draw for the EMSA and Millionaire Destiny Savings Account (MDSA) took place at the bank's head office in the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Economy in Abu Dhabi. This month's grand prize of AED 250,000 went to Mr A, Al Yafei, in addition to 30 more prizes valued at AED 300,000 granted to ADCB EMSA accountholders.
Commenting on ADCB's recent donation to the Zakat Fund, Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Ali, Head of Resources of Zakat Fund, said: "I would like to thank ADCB for this donation as it represents a good opportunity to contribute for the well-being of the society. This truly complements the position of ADCB as a socially responsible bank and we, at Zakat Fund, look forward to cooperating further with ADCB Islamic Banking on behalf of EMSA customers."
Mr V. Singh who holds a Sharia' compliant 'MDSA' account, won the jackpot prize of AED 1 Million. This Sharia' compliant account is available to all ADCB customers. In addition to this, ten customers won 1,000,000 TouchPoints, the loyalty program offered by ADCB.

ADCB's Shari'ah compliant EMSA is available exclusively for UAE nationals and their families. One of the unique features of the EMSA is that ADCB pays AED 25 to charity for each account opened. To be eligible for the draw a minimum average balance of AED 5,000 should be maintained in the account, for every AED 1,000, EMSA customer gets one chance in the draw.
