Abu Dhabi - As they believe that communication with the community across social networking websites is an urgent need for all bodies and institutions, the Abu Dhabi Pensions and Benefits Fund organised a workshop in collaboration with Tamra C2 and Oracle. The workshop was entitled "The Importance of Social Media Networking for Organizations", and was held in the headquarter office of the Fund, in Abu Dhabi.
The workshop, was held over an entire day, primarily aimed to identify the best practices to be adopted in the government sector, the role of social media to provide opportunities for clients and for the public to communicate with government agencies. It concentrated in the need to cooperate with them in the implementation of government programs and services, as well as to identify the global trends linking the organizations' strategic objectives in regards to social media networking.
Experts in this field, participated in the workshop. Alex Blakeway - Social Media Business Development Lead and Strategist at Oracle, and Adam Gray, author of the best-seller about the means of social communication "Brilliant Social Media", along with more than 30 representatives from government agencies and entities were present.
Speaking about the workshop, H. E. Khalaf Abdullah Rahma Al Hammadi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Pensions Fund, mentioned - "We are keen to harness new media platforms, particularly the social media channels, to enhance our efforts in reaching the highest levels of service for our customers. We will work to achieve their aspirations, provide them an easy way to communicate with our representatives of the Fund around the clock and towards resolving any problems they may encounter. This contributes towards raising the level of services we provide, and also promotes the process of excellence that we pursue in light of the good governance of the Government of Abu Dhabi."
H. E. Al Hammadi added - "Any system for a company or an organization seeking to provide the best services possible, cannot be completed without engaging the customers through these channels. Therefore, it is necessary for organizations and companies to harness these applications and their channels to achieve their objectives and to gain access of the largest segment of their clients. It is important to establish an interaction to know their opinions and to receive feedbacks, which will ultimately lead to the improvement and development of our products and services."
At the end, H. E. Al Hammadi thanked all the attendees for being a part of the success of this workshop. He also gave special thanks to both, Tamra C2 and Oracle, for their efforts and contributions towards hosting the workshop.
