Vodafone Egypt has decided to offer the Voice Mail Service free of any charge or monthly fees, thus adding to the list of the free services offered by Vodafone Egypt to all customers, whether the prepaid or the monthly subscribers. This offer is provided to enable all subscribers to benefit from this service allowing them to remain in constant connection with those around them. All subscribers can now dial 808 and get access to operate the free voice mail service.

Engineer Hatem Dowidar, Vodafone Egypt Marketing Director, explained that offering the free voice mail service to all Vodafone subscribers is evidence of Vodafone's concern to offer exceptional services to its customers so they can be in constant connection with those around them. He also added that the voice mail service is considered the simplest means to guarantee that the customer receives important or urgent messages which are essential for him in case he is unable to receive the call. Thus, a customer is able to receive the voice mail in his/her in-box by dialing 808. This service is similar to what the answering machine does with regard to calls made by earth telephones. In addition, the free voice mail service enables the subscriber to record a message with his voice to be received by the other party in case he does not answer his telephone. All calls are received on the voice mail even if the line is busy or if the telephone is out of coverage area. The free voice mail service allows the customer to be connected in a constant manner.

Engineer Hatem Dowidar added that Vodafone subscribers could also hear their voice messages even when they are out of country through using the roaming service and dialing 808. The calls of the voice mail are charged when using roaming service according to the designated tariff for each country.

Engineer Hatem Dowidar ended his statement saying that this new service offered freely by Vodafone to its customers is one in a series of free services made available during the last period, such as free Internet and the various electronic means to settle bills. This again emphasizes Vodafone's interest in offering exceptional service to its customers and to offer the latest advanced applications in the field of mobile technology to the Egyptian customers.
