The region's premier System Integrator, 3W Networks, was awarded to implement the Telecommunication Systems of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) 132/KV Substations located at City Walk and Meydan Dubai.
3W Networks will use first-rate Optical Transmission equipment from leading European manufacturers to provide a powerful telecommunication network by using advanced Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) Optical Line Terminal Equipment STM-4/16/64 intended for Voice communication, Tele-protection signalling, Digital Fault Recorder Data transmission, Relay Management Access and Facsimile communication.
The scope of work called for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the Telecommunication systems. A Factory Acceptance Test will be conducted at 3W Networks State of the Art Integration facilities in Dubai Silicon Oasis prior to installation at the DEWA substations.
3W Networks was selected because of its strong Local Engineering Presence and Capability to provide complete and integrated telecom solutions for power and utility sectors.
