Zlatan Ibrahimovic was handed the captain's armband on his first AC Milan start in over a year, in the champions' Serie A clash at Udinese on Saturday.

Striker Ibrahimovic, who was recently recalled to the Sweden national team at 41 years of age, is in coach Stefano Pioli's starting XI for the first time since January last year.

He will be the oldest skipper in Milan's history after completing his comeback from a serious knee injury.

Ibrahimovic has made three substitute appearances this season after being sidelined since May last year, following reconstructive surgery on the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Milan are fourth in Serie A ahead of Saturday's fixture, 20 points behind runaway league leaders Napoli.
