UAE - PAYFORT, an Amazon company, has introduced an initiative to support startups and small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Egypt.

Through the #StartUpStayUp initiative, PAYFORT will help over 100 of its startups, as well as small and medium merchant businesses, from more than 10 categories to improve their online payment processes to generate more revenues, according to a press release on Thursday.

The Fintech company will finance a three-month digital marketing campaign at a total value of AED 1 million across multiple media channels.

To promote the campaign among customers, the Amazon company has partnered with the region's leading banks, including Emirates NBD in the UAE, Commercial International Bank (CIB) in Egypt, and Saudi British Bank (SABB) in KSA.

Additionally, the company will exempt all startups and SMEs from the maintenance fee.

Commenting on the initiative, the company's managing director, Omar Soudodi, said: "The PAYFORT team understands that this is a critical time for many startups and SMBs. With #StartUpStayUp, we aim to help as many businesses as we can to accept payments online quickly and improve cash flow."
