The Ministry of Trade and Industry is working in total coordination with the business community to review Egypt’s industrial policies, legislations, and procedures, Egyptian trade minister Ahmed Samir stated, according to an official statement on September 7th.

The private sector is an active partner in the execution of the trade ministry’s plans for the development of national industries and the realization of universal economic development, Samir added.

Samir noted that the government and all its bodies are seeking to find immediate solutions to secure raw material and production inputs for industrial sectors.

Answering an inquiry regarding hurdles of industrial licensing, Samir said that he directed the Industrial Development Authority to comply with the industrial licensing law and adhere to the Prime Minister’s directives for issuing licenses within 7 working days by notification.
