Zain held celebrations this week at Al Hussein Park to mark the 64th anniversary of Jordan's Independence Day. The day-long celebrations, included performances by the popular Jordanian singer Omar Al Abdallat, Al Lawziyyeen Group, Amman Municipality Group and a firework demonstration. Jordanian presenter Mohammad Al Wakeel was director of the ceremony during the event which Zain hosted for the sixth consecutive year. Zain Chief Executive Officer Abdul Malek Al Jaber said: "Zain is a national company that looks to serve Jordanians and His Majesty King Abdullah and sees it part of its responsibility to celebrate this special occasion with the Jordanian people." Jaber added that Zain has been taking part in all social events and has been keen to participate in the local economic development and the enhancements of the country's various sectors.The Independence Day celebrations began with a show at the Royal Automobile Museum, followed by a number of shows by the public defence band and Al Fursan acoustics which lasted until 7:00pm after which Zain's celebrations began and lasted until late night hours.
