DOHA: Vodafone Qatar yesterday announced the launch of their new Mobile Internet offer which gives free access to popular sites, as well as giving customers up to 10MB of free mobile internet allowance every month.
The offer gives free access to Facebook while in Qatar, Friendster, Orkut and Maktoob. All Vodafone customers will receive 10MB of free mobile Internet allowance every month.
Customers can also now benefit from the new Vodafone pay-as-you-go rate of QR2 per MB, reduced from QR10MB.
"After running a hugely successfully mobile internet promotion for the past seven months which captured 58 percent of our customer base, we are thrilled to be launching our new mobile Internet offer for all new and existing Vodafone customers," said Omar Mufti, product manager of Vodafone Qatar.
Mutfi said they found their customers are heavy users of Facebook, so they wanted to give them unlimited free access to the site. The new offer also gives customers to enjoy value-filled plans. Freedom customers will get 300MB worth of Mobile Internet for QR50 and Red customers 75MB for QR50.
