Dubai: Retail pioneer Union Coop Company has signed an investment contract with Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), the Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO)’s regulatory body, to build an AED 94.442 million commercial centre.

“The new Union Coop commercial centre will be a quality addition to the retail offering at DSO,” DSOA’s deputy CEO for operations and client affairs Juma Al Matrooshi commented.

The new centre will comprise a partial basement reserved for car parking, and a ground floor that includes several shops and parking spaces, according to an official statement.

“We are always looking for investment opportunities…that will allow us to supply the community with a wide range of products at competitive prices and maximise shareholder returns in the long run,” Union Coop’s CEO Khalid Humaid bin Diban Al Falasi said.

The planned centre will comprise a Union Coop hypermarket situated on 60,500 square feet.
